Info Sessions on Wednesdays & Thursdays at 11am (starting Oct. 6)
In Person Workshops
If you are registered client with the KEE Program (April 2021 - current), you are welcome to join us at our workshops. It is required that you complete the online modules as that will be the "core content" of the workshop and we delve deeper into that content at each workshop. Every workshop will be different as we discuss challenges you may be facing either with the content from the modules or "in the real world".
Even if you are a KEE client that is already working somewhere, you are welcome to join us to talk about challenges you may be facing on the worksite.
Workshop Schedule: Tuesdays at 11am starting October 5, 2021. We are at the north side of Portage Place, across from Central Park at the corner of Edmonton & Qu’appelle in the Knox Church. Please go through the main doors of 406 Edmonton Street. When inside, enter the doors on the left and let receptionist know that you have arrived.
What To Bring: Your own pen, paper, face mask (these will be provided if you do not have them). We also encourage you to bring questions and job leads if you would like to share them with other workshop participants.
Please check this website prior to coming down for potential changes in the schedule.
Certified Online Module Training:
Please ensure you go right to the end of each module to submit your answers and click the "Finish" button. We encourage you to watch the videos in full screen by pressing the "F" key when the video starts and then the "esc" key at the end.
After you have completed the module, you will receive an email with the results of your participation in that module. Each module will take approximately 7 to 15 minutes to complete.
There is a lot of great content packed in these videos! You are welcome to watch them more than once to ensure you have a good understanding of the content.
The content of these modules are designed to help all KEE clients looking for an entry level job. Some content will be familiar but each module will likely have material you never considered or offer a different perspective, valuable tips or at minimum, a great reminder that will help you achieve success in attaining employment quickly. It is required for you to watch the video prior to answering questions in the quiz in order to have your module marked as "completed".
Modules 1-7 Focus on applying properly to maximize results. It's recommended that these first Seven modules be completed in the first week of starting with KEE (it will take less than two hours of your time to complete these seven modules).
Modules 8 and onward focus on what to do after you applied for a job.
Once you have completed and passed all of the online training modules, you will receive a certificate which will be given to you at our workshops (other arrangements can be made if you prefer).
Expect to succeed Step By Step!

Even if you already have a resume, you will benefit from this module.
Before you head out to apply for work, ensure you are on the right track. This module is full of time saving tips and ways to maximize your job search efforts.
Here's a super quick module that can have long lasting results on you achieving anything you want to achieve!
Many people are eliminated from job consideration because they did not apply properly. This module will increase your chances of moving on to the next step of the hiring process!
This module focuses on the importance of keeping track and what to keep track of when you are applying for work. By doing this, you will help maximize your success in attaining employment! As a bonus, this video also covers some tips on how to remember people's names which is a valuable skill to have.
This module clarifies how, when and if you should follow-up. This step is often misunderstood so often people skip it however taking this step is expected by the majority of employers.
This module is packed with great information but It's impossible to cover everything in a short video and handout. We recommend you check out our Client Resources for many videos on Job Interviews. If you have questions on how to handle specific job interview questions, look on YouTube, ask your KEE coach or bring it up at one of our KEE workshops.
This 15 minute video is the longest of our modules but arguably the most important as it will help you maintain employment and hopefully excel in your new job. If you haven’t been hired yet, this module will also help you during the applying/following-up/interview stages!
We highly recommend you watch this video a second time as soon as you have accepted a job offer as it will help you meet and ideally exceed employer expectations.
An introduction to the importance of Customer Service and the impact it can have on a business.
Delve deeper in to what it takes to make a great impression with your customers and how to best serve them through body language, acknowledging and asking appropriate questions to anticipate their needs.
Coming late September! This module covers the manner of giving great customer service: your communication style! How you say something, answer customer's questions or deliver news the customer doesn't want to hear will either upset/frustrate the customer or keep them coming back to your business. This module goes through specific examples that you will likely encounter no matter where you work and if you implement these effective techniques, you are more likely to move up the company ladder.
Coming this Fall! Even if you give great customer service, sometimes things will go wrong but how you handle that situation will either lose the customer or make them a satisfied (or hopefully even loyal) one. This module covers how to handle upset customers and complaints in a professional manner.
On this page (link below) you will find extra optional course content for KEE clients that delve into topics like "How to set up a free email account", "How to write a resume in Google Docs" and more topics coming soon.
